I installed both the brake and shift peg covers (Kuryakyn part number 8851) this week. They probably took about 15 minutes for both. It's an easy job, but I thought there were a few items to point out.
I didn't want to cut the original covers, so I used a thin screwdriver to break the glue seal from both sides of the peg. I was able to work the peg off easier with the screwdriver on the inside of the peg.
Some people commented on the size of the peg. They are a little bigger, but not huge.
Here is the exposed peg:
Wrap 2-3 turns of electrical tape around the peg. YMMV...
Test fit. If it barely turns, and the rubber is not flaring, you have a good fit.
"This is glue... Strong stuff..." (Obscure movie reference) Place glue on the inside of the peg. The pegs did not come with the glue. I was replacing grips at the same time.
Line up the peg and secure allen screw with a .050 (smallest wrench in existence I think). Be careful not to overtighten until you hear a snap (which I did)

Enjoy!!!
