This was a 2 person job, at least for my experience level. I ended up getting a friend, that has worked on a few cars, to come and help.

Total Time for 2 non experienced modders = 3 hours
Hardest part = Removing the O2 sensor from plug. Don't laugh, took 20 mins and then we realized 1 clip is all that actually holds it in. Nothing around the top actually is a clip.
2nd hardest part = finding exhaust screw that you undid, and it just happens to fall down into the bike somewhere...

All in all, was a pretty easy install. With the scoot mod extension, the heat shield plate for the break system was not usable.

Any questions, just ask.

3 hours is not terrible... I had to fab a new heat shield with the scootmods... as a suggestion.... I had a terrible experience with the baffles in the twin slash... they colapsed in on themselves causing the exhaust to become plugged up... I recommend taking the out and inspecting the welds... if they are not VERY prominant... call V&H Steve Darrow (562-921-7461) and have him Expidite new ones to you.... Just my 2 cents....

I went to reposition my vance and hines today, but when I got out there the lower exhaust has something ratteling inside. I can look in, and it's just part of the tube ratteling and not attached?!?!?! Is this the stock baffle you are talking about?

I called Vance and Hines. I'm a bit pissed right now. I have ridden less than 15 miles on brand new pipes.. and already have a ****ing problem.

Vance and Hines are going to ship me out free baffles, but i'm basically stuck at work with my bike.. that i'm affraid to ride home in a chance the rattling end baffle will dmg my pipes further..

Don't worry about running the bike... if its rattling around.. it is fine... Recomment pulling the heatshield off (2 hose clamps) and removing the baffles until V&H send the new ones (they WILL over night them)... truth be known... running the bike without the baffles is kinda cool... What a sound!!!

I would be surprised at a recall. I had my Twin Slash Staggered pipes installed a month ago and have had no issues what so ever

I've already faxed them my invoice, and he seemed pretty confident to send me some baffles asap. I actually fixed the baffle problem by removing it, and pushing the free flowing cap back in. Then bending it so it wouldn't just easily come out again. It's a quick fix, and the baffles should be here soon.

After installing new pipes, are you able to hear the engine more? I seem to be able to hear the "machine" noise of the engine at cruising speeds (40-50) in town. I just talked with Patrice, and she gets the same noise, but she thought it was from the air intake. I just have the pipes, so i'm just assuming the pipes force the bike to push out a bit more power - there for making it louder at idle and at costing I can hear it more?

Sorry if this is hella noob question haha.

When I first got my bike back from the shop after the mods/dyno my first impression was how incredibly loud the pipes were. After I got past that I noticed a sound that concerned me, kind of like an air-sucking sound. Came to find that this is a normal sound for a bike that has an aftermarket air intake installed. Just the sound of the intake sucking in a bunch of air for more power. I don’t even notice it anymore.
