I picked up my 2012 Stryker this afternoon. Very nice bike, except who put the gearing upside down. Coming from a Kawasaki sports bike, 1 up 5 down gearing. This Stryker has it upside down 1 down and 4 up. Lol. Plus, where did all the rpm's go. 11200 on my Ninja. How many do I have now? Also, no tach ???? Lol.

I'm just glad I beat the cold icy rain by 2 minutes. It's still somewhat wintery in Maine still. Sunny skies and the rain will be here at 4pm the weatherman said. I had just opened my shed door when I got home and a couple of drops fell. Got the bike in and the clouds let loose.

Seriously, I know that I am going to enjoy this bike a lot. I am already looking at exhaust, saddle bags, tachometer, etc....

Welcome to the Forum, Your last bike had the upside down gearing. Normal shifting for almost all bkes is 1 down the rest up. LOL

Congrats and welcome. I'm with 11Stryker on the 1 down 4 up thing. Every bike I've ridden (at least a dozen) of all makes and models were 1 down and 4 up. Also, welcome to the world of cruisers, we don't have insanely high revving engines. Though some of us may beg to differ, these aren't sport bikes and don't need to use 11200 rpms.

Thats the other reason I bought this bike. My Ninja just refused to go the speed limit. I never did any wheelies or stupid **** like that, I 'm too old. But you can never have too many rpms. Lol
