Well I finaly got my Stryker dynoed today. It was a nise 89deg in the dyno room too:yuck:. Any way the numbers aren't what I wanted to see. I perdick that we all can get 80Hp for 80 cubes on this motor with a little more TQ. First the dyno guy striped my O2 sensor and we had to take off my cobra TRI-FLO exhaust off and retapp the O2 sensor bunge to get his O2 sensor in to get afuel reading since he could not get the sniffer rod into my non removeable baffel. After a 1 hour set back my stryker was ready for the dyno run.I had to stay in the front when he did that, Guess because of insurance reasons but let me help him taking off and installing my $650 dollar exhaust so he would not scratch it. Then he called me in to see the graph of the fuel mixture. I was running mostly lean and it had a bunch of dips and one section was rich then lean again. he would not adjust the EJK and of course knocked it and also said the Cobra power pro and power commander auto tune did not really work:(. he also said he definitly can get me 5more HP and probably TQ if I install a power commander and he tunes it up correctly and index each cylinder . I believe him on the fuel mixture an am no stranger to dyno runs and mixture and what just one jet size difference (+ -) on a carb can do. I wish I could have done just a couple of settings on my EJK , but that means the cost of another pull for each test $$$$:(. So my numbers are 75.80HP and 79.43TQ. The TQ curve is flat as kansas:D. This was the first dyno run on a Stryker or any 1304CC Yamaha and he was impressed with the power to cc ratio ,which is what I keep saying. He does mostly sport bikes and does alot of hardleys and alot of M109'S. So Im at a delima kinda. Do I want to spend $ on a power commander then another $375.00 for a custom tune for 5 more HP? Not sure yet. wish I knew another dyno shop that actually knows the Bully or EJK tuners. He said im running leaner than I should be. I feel my Stryker as is runs pretty good, but by the fuel mixture I looked at closley (you can't see it on the graph) Im in for some improvments I most likely will feel.I guess Im going to wait it out for a bit. Spent enough this month on my toys. But I do want to break that 80Hp barrier just for ****s and giggles:wink:. He also mentioned that his dyno has a reputation for being 3hp less that where the other sport bike riders are going, he didn't say where. But i just want a base line before I tear down the heads this winter, of course he wanted to take a try at porting the heads also. they do alot of that their on the four valve Yamaha sport bikes. So that is it for now.My mods are, cobra tri-flow exhaust, cobra power flow with the front screen removed and the EJK. Till next time at the Dyno:thumb:.

Yeah man, Brian loves that PCV doesn't he? But then again, that's the same song I hear from every parts department in town. I guess ppl are just sweet on what they know already. He took me back to show me some Freedom exhaust pipes a guy had on his Raider that was getting dyno'd. He was pretty high on them but I really wasn't too impressed. Hopefully all in all it was a good experience for ya, but for 5 more hp, sounds a little expensive. Oh, my buddy that used to race sport bikes should know of another dyno shop. If the rain stays away he should be at the ride tomorrow and i'll ask him and get back to ya.

Every dyno can read different, the adjustments for the dyno can make it say it has more or less hp and tq than shown. The dyno itself is only a tuning tool, don't get too wrapped up in the number on the graph more than the curve and how it it has the lean spots where it dips. Does the operator have the slippage on his dyno that he can show you if your clutches are slipping. It compares the drum speed with the motor rpm to show this.

I understand that. Like I said Im no stranger to the dyno. But I do want to at least get the too lean and too rich sections worked out. Im not that concerened like you about the dips.Im thinking of getting a cobra auto tuner ?

Update. Ken Wheeler at wheelers bike shop in Robbinsville, Tenn just emailed me back and is very familiar with the EJK tuner.this bike shop is on the way to the DRAGON:tongue:. He asked if I had the 3.5 but I told him I have the 3.0 version. Im waiting for a email back on a appointment for a sat or sun to get it done. He also does a top speed run in top gear to see what your actuall top speed is when hitting the rev limiter in top gear. So ill finnaly put that question to rest with a 30 tooth pulley change and a stock 210 tire.Stay tuned;).

Low reading with Dino. Possibly bad breaking on bike or your 30 tooth pulley. Max power is usually 80. And I have seen 83
Finally sicontex . . . someone who understands what the 30-tooth pulley actually does! On another thread about the front pulley some guys got frustrated with me because I insisted in showing that a smaller pulley actually will give you less torque!
Yammyboy . . . I would try and find someone who can program it again for you before putting more $$ out.
Good luck, and keep us posted!

Im trying to get in touch with Ken today to set up an appointment with him at Wheelers. Im not giving up on the EJK tunning just yet. I can't get there unless its a weekend to do it. He also has a new dyno cause the last time I was there I had a worked on BUSA in 2006 and he tuned it up for me while I was camping out from fla for a week. But alot of guys complained his old dyno reads alot lower than usuall. I just want the fuel mix dialed in better than what its set at now..

I was going to put in the EJK tuner when I got my V&H Twins, so I installed a wide band sensor with a A/F mixture gauge from KOSO. The point was to tune it in myself, turns out it was dialed in right in with the O2 unplugged and did not need a tuner.

Did u have a air kit installed? You probably dont need a tuner with. After market exhaust

No I don't. I still have stock air. The only reason I was even thinking of a tuner was because of all the talk about how much the V&H Twins lean out the bike ( especially considering how lean it runs stock). I am not one to guess on the things, I would rather have the facts. That why I ordered the wide band before the tuner. Glad I did it that way because now I know how much the O2 sensor is leaning the bike out. She runs great now.

Update? I was think about pulling the trigger on the EJK as they are pretty generous with the military discount but would like to hear some more positive feedback on whether if any of these tuners do anything at all.
