I first saw the Stryker a couple weeks ago. I was actually at the dealer to look at the Honda Interstate. They only had the Statelines and next to them was a Stryker. I had a dual sport, but was thinking that a more street friendly bigger bike would be better. Plus I want to ride with my girlfriend on the bike, and that isn't easy on a dual sport. Anyway.... I did it, I got a 2011 raven Stryker today. I rode my DRZ400s to the dealer after work ( about 12 miles ) and rode the Stryker home. Night and day difference on the freeway ride. Stryker is so much more stable. I think I am going to enjoy this bike. I have found a ton of cool information on here in the short time I have been here. Looking forward to finding more great things on here, and thank you to all you guys for sharing.

Thank you. I saw the mods it says made. I was commenting to the dealer that the speedo housing should be black, as well as the mirrors. I ordered the seat back, and am interested in bags. What bags did you get? Have any pictures? I am in So Cal.

I don't have bags yet but I did sand the spedo trim, mirrors and stems and painted them flat black.... So everyone likes it better. If you look at the back of mirror where the pivot is the area is a raised tear drop shape, I taped that and swivel so I do have a little chrome on them also I didn't paint the locking nuts, figure the paint would just scratch off anyway

I have some mirrors I took off of my DRZ. I thnk the will look good, but need to put them on to see for sure. I do think I will be painting the gauge trim black for sure. I think it will kind of "disappear" being flat black. Am I right? What bags do you like?

Welcome from Georgetown, TX.
I have had my Candyapple Red for 2 weeks now.
I ordered the bags made by Yamaha (detachable). They just came in and are being installed as we speak.
Also got quick release windshield and quick release sissy bar/luggage rack.
My thought was I can have all stuff off for cruiser, and if I use for longer haul tourer, can put stuff on.

This is awesome forum, but start saving your pennies.
A lot of great mods you will see.

Welcome from New Mexico
Whats your first mod going to be?
First will be to paint the speedo housing black. I need to start saving for the real mods.. I am ordering the Scootmods forward controls today. Seems like most people really like them.
