I can't wait to get a solo seat for the bike. It's a PITA taking the seat off every time I pull over somewhere and want to lock the helmet to the bike. With my ZX6R I could hold the helmet in one hand and remove the seat with the other. Now I have to set the helmet on the ground, take the seat off, set the seat on the ground, then fight with the helmet hook to get the helmet on and then pick the seat up and put it back on. I have been mening to bend the hook up a little bit so it would be easier to put my helmet on. But I only seem to remember when i'm somewhere about to stow it. I don't ride anyone with me so I never had a back seat on my Ninja. I kept the racing cowl back there instead. It worked out better due to the fact that that was my storeage area. I miss that. On my old bike my storage area was big enough to put a 20 oz coke and maybe some snacks. On the Stryker there is no storage area. And I don't like the look of saddle bags or those boxes.

Well get someone to ride with you to hold your helmet. lol jk. I was fighting the same battle last night when the wife and I went to eat had to hand the helmet to her to maneuver the seat off. Thanks for reminding me I'm gonna go adjust that **** hook right now

Uhh y dont you leave the helm on and remove your seat 1st then hook it up??
It doesn't really matter. I still have to set the seat on the ground to hook the helmet. I would never leave on of my helmets on the handle bars. Two of my helmets are Shoei and two of them are Scorpion.

I find that if you pop the seat pull forward then pivot the front to the exhaust side keeping the rear hook lined up. Kinda hard to explain but that gives you access to the hook the you dont need to remove the seat all the way.
