So im heading down the interstate on my way to work, doing 80 riding behind a hummer. All the sudden he kicks up a 6 foot long heavy steel beam. SMACK right to the front of the bike and my hand and leg. My 2 fingers are already black and blue. I could barely pull the clutch to get the remaining 2 blocks to work. Weird thing is, it hit the bike hard, looked to me like it hit the heaflight, gastank, forks, and turn signal. But when i got to work there was no damage. At least that i saw. If it would have hit me above the handle bars it would have knocked me off the bike. it was that hard of a hit. Thank GOD im okay and its a plus that theres no noticable damage to the bike.

I look at it as your are amazingly lucky to not been hurt more than a couple sore hands. It could have been so much worse. With that said though...I probably wouldn't bother playing the lottery right now!

Glad you and the bike are ok Shimbo.

Glad to hear you were not more seriously injured. That could have impaled you. I shuttered to think the worse. Hmmm your hand injuries would indicate that an object hit flipped up by another vehicle hit your hands and your bike, flipped up and bounced off your chest and scratched your tank on the way down. I swear that is what happened Mr. Insurance man.

Wow man...glad to hear it turned out like it did. Could have been a lot worse. I saw a youtube video of a trailer kicking up a 2x4 and putting it throughout the windshield of the truck behind. You are very lucky

Dude, what the **** is up? You are on one ****ty luck run, glad to hear this wasn't any worse, here in GA I worry my ass off about truck tire scraps, when I was on my road trip I never saw another outside of GA, it's got to be something with the pavement makeup here

Glad it didn't take you out! You know there's one more coming, when crap like this happens it allways seems to happen in threes! Maybe you missed something and its allready over?
x2! I would watch your step for a while. Glad you made it out OK!

This past week we were pulling a horse trailer (with a horse on board) on the Turnpike. I was in the right lane and a tractor trailer was in the left right next to me. All of a sudden we both saw most of a tire in the middle of the left lane. The tractor trailer locked his wheels up right next to my driver window. Scared the sh_t out of me. Somehow he managed to move over enough to his left to straddle it. I was just afraid he would kick it up right into us. Then about another two miles down the road there was a triaxle truck with one missing tire and another one about to shred (still driving though with his flashers on!). I just gunned it to get past him before something else came flying off. That was enough excitement for a while.
