Location? Time? Day / Days? I will not be available September 22 - 23 weekend.

Someone mentioned Elgine, up in the subs of Chicago. Wife and I can def make it, but would prob take a hotel for the night.

Doesn't have to be that far north. Can meet further south, like Yorkville maybe.
I am only availible the weekends of the 15-16 and 22-23, but since you are not available for 22-23 I guess 15-16 would be the best for me. The rest of them are filled with weddings.

Hmm...wonder if I will be able to afford a trip on the bike after all those weddings. :-\

I might be available either weekend. We have some major things going on at work Sept through Oct that may require me to work a weekend at a moments notice. Otherwise I wouldn't mind participating as well. I live in the near southwest suburbs of Chicago so Yorkville or Elgin would be a bit of a haul but I'm up for it.

Try living in Champaign, and going anywhere in Chicago ><. Hotel rooms all around! haha

Nogard, depending where and when we meet up. I have an extra room if you and the wife need a place to stay because you don't want to ride back. We know it will be quite a haul for you no matter where we meet. Yorkville or Elgin is fine for me.

1st would be great, thats at the end of my vacation. But I am not going anywhere. Just planning to ride that week and spend time with the hubby.

Very nice place in Richmond Ill. named Doyles. Great food and very cycle friendly. Might be a little to far north for some. Just a suggestion.

Well, since I live in Elgin I suppose I should chime in Elgin is right off of the tollway (I-90) for those interested in expressway driving and easily accessed via routes 59, 25 or 31 for those needing North South ways to get here. Elgin borders some pretty rural areas, so I'm basically able to go country riding without much effort by just heading West.

What would everybody be looking for as far as the meet up? Like a bar/restaurant type deal? There is a Tilted Kilt right around 31 & the tollway for example. Give me some ideas of what we are looking to do and I'll try to get info on whatever. 8)

226 miles 1 way for us, not terrible - but without windshield and seat - my wife may not like me .. Don't let distance stop us from meeting up though, as I'm sure i can make it up to my wife's ass later.../wink

I'm just interested in seeing everyone, having drinks / nice food and hanging out. Wife and I would only stay a day/night and drive back the next morning. We would need a hotel, but I'm sure that isn't hard to find up there. Us country folks in the South, can manage with you city folk.

So far it's pretty lack of interest from most Illinois riders . If only 2 make it on labor day weekend, I may skip this one and hang out with all the family activities.
