Been away from the forum for awhile due to some medical emergencies with the wife. She's finally home and recuperating and I've had a chance to get back to the bike. Finally got a few miles (about 270) on her and i can say I'm gonna love this ride! Got the front fender bodywork done and the fender, Chin spoiler, fairing and two side covers are in black base. I did run into a problem with a small spot lifting on the fairing and will have to try and remedy that. the rest of the parts look good. Hopefully will start airbrushing tomorrow. I would like to at least get the side covers and maybe the chin scoop artwork pretty much wrapped up this weekend. If I can get the fairing straightened out without to much problem I'll be very happy.
I'll get some pics tomorrow as the artwork unfolds and try to get them up for you all. Till then, glad to be back.

First paint.

thanks everyone for the kind words. She is getting stronger by day. Here's a few pics of the first pieces. Got the side covers flamed and a coat of intercoat clear on them. And the front fender is in base coat. The fairing will need a complete sanding to fix the lifting issue. Hope to get the chin scoop flamed tomorrow and then maybe clear it and the side covers. The wife decided she wanted to stick with the black and flames rather than adding the blue so that makes things a bit easier for me.

Thanks everyone. It's 9:35 pm and I just finished the artwork on the radiator scoop. Came out awesome! I think I got the color combination I was looking for (the side panels were a bit darker than I wanted). I'll get some pics of it tomorrow. With any luck I can get the front fender art done tomorrow and get those 4 pieces cleared. Gonna be killer, nothing like black and chrome!

Unfortunately I really don't have the space to do this. The garage is to small and I've got way to much stuff! I doing this in a small backround of the garage and finding it difficult to get around the parts without bumping into things. Many years ago I did run a body shop and did some custom work. Maybe shoot a few things if I am ever able to retire, but mostly stick to my own shooting my own stuff. If I screw it up there's no one to complain!

Radiator chin scoop

Here's some pics of the chin scoop. Probably the toughest thing I've tried to flame so far, to many edges and angles. Looks great in the pics but I think I'm going to have to hit it with another coat or two of candy before I clear it as it's a little bit paler in real life. Hope you like it.

More photos

Ok guys and girls. Just finished the artwork on the front fender and I have to say I am pleased with it. Making me nervous at how well it's turning out! Still have to scuff all these parts and do the final clear. Hoping that turns out well. Here's the pics.
