I got my bike back Saturday after having the Cobra intake and new baffles put in. It made a huge difference in midrange power. If you haven't heard of Big City baffles, check them out at www.bigcitythunder.com. I'm not affiliated with them. My best friend turned me onto them after getting a set for his Honda Fury. Now my Cobra exhaust is a little louder but has more deep rumble and the bike is alot faster on take off and when passing.
I also put on the PCS lowering link at the 1inch drop. I was surprised that it doesnt affect the handling at all to me. I may go with the 2.25 drop and see how I like that.

I should have them this week and hopefully will install them on Thursday. I got the Original baffles. They said if you want a deeper sound you can put these baffles about 6"-8" inside the pipe (as opposed to the standard 3") and then cut a portion of the original baffles and put them at the back. For that though you have to take the pipes off and drill another mounting hole. So I'll just go with the standard install for now and see what it sounds like. I know without any baffles it is loud! I'll put a video together of the various sounds and let the forum know......now that the spammers are gone (Thanks again ACE!)

Yes I did get them installed but I have not finished the video yet. I got video of stock, without baffles and with baffles. As for the install, the hardest part is getting the stock baffles out. The Big City Baffles are only about 6" long and a little smaller diameter than the stock. I was able to install them (3" inside the pipe) in a few minutes using the stock holes in the exhaust.

But, they recommend the baffles be 6" inside the pipe for a deeper sound. This requires removing the exhaust so a new mounting hole can be drilled. Then if you want to adjust the tone even further, you can cut down a piece of the original baffle and insert that in the back of the pipes using the stock mounting hole. They recommend trying a 6", then 4" then 2" piece to get the sound you want. I think I am going to try the 6" mounting location but that may have to wait for a few weeks. I'll post when I get the video and pictures together.

Update.....

Yesterday I decided to take off the exhaust (about a 10 min. job), and drill a new mounting hole about 6.5" from the end of the exhaust so I can move up the Big City baffles. Wow....what a difference a few inches make...I'll leave that comment alone.

I'm going to take more video sound footage for my video compliation. I'm also going to cut down the original baffle (6" length) and see what that sounds like. Just having the Big City baffles deeper in the pipe gives a very throaty-deep sound. I like it a lot better than the baffles only being 3" from the end of the pipe. When my wife got home she saw the bike uncovered and asked what I was up to. I started it up and she was floored. Now I'm just curious as to what adding a portion of the original baffles will sound like.

Taking off the exhaust, drilling the hole, moving the baffles and reinstaling was only about a 30 min. job with one person.

Last night I put together the video of all the sound clips and pictures I have so far. I plan to finish the sound clips tomorrow and experiment with a few more baffle modifications. So I should have the video posted Saturday night. I know.....the suspense is building!
