Once the kids are home I can get them to take some pictures and maybe a video but for now just words.

Had my neighbor make a stainless steel bracket and mounted it on the left side off the forward cylinder mount.
Disconnected the original horn's wiring and rerouted it to the seat area and hooked everything up using the supplied relay and an inline fuse(not supplied). Unfortunately my choice of areas to mount the relay worked fine in the test but when I sat on the seat it crushed it a little and did not work. Relocated it and will probably replace(only $6 locally at Advance Auto so not too bad of a dumb mistake...) but for now hoping it works OK for a while.

And, YES, it is loud. I actually somewhat feel bad for the person I choose to unleash it on! That is until you factor in that they were going to drift in your lane or the like and potentially steamroll you. If this horn doesn't get your attention nothing will :D

In the 1st picture the "wrong" place to put the relay was the rightmost screw behind the battery cover. That's where it got crushed when I sat on it.
The 2nd picture shows it mounted. I may heat shrink the connectors to black them out.
The 3rd picture is a front shot.
And the 4th picture shows the original horn removed and where I ground it to the starter.

My... What a big horn you have...... BTW - which BAK is that?
Yea it is big but the original is pathetic and looks like they forgot about it and added it at the last second. Would have preferred dual horns like on some sport bikes (up by the triple trees) and was going to go that way but was having a hard time finding ones that were rated well.
Although the middle finger makes you feel good it does nothing to keep you alive :frown:

The BAK is from S&S Custom Cycles and is the Alley Cat. They also have a lot of the Mach2 ones as well. Those are a little more but the face plates are changeable. They give you a nice machined aluminum adapter plate and all the hardware. You just have to reuse the o-rings from the stock one.

A big horn or little horn wont keep you alive either, when its your time, its your time.
That is an approach my friend but I personally don't believe in predetermination. I'm doing everything(OK some things) to stay on this planet as long as I can.
And just to open the can of worms... I'll take a loud horn over loud pipes any day. Doppler effect favors me big time!!

What good is the middle finger if they can't see us? Isn't that why they're cutting us off in the first place? IJS

Agreed, plus being a fairly whimpy guy I try and not excite the cagers if at all possible. I just go for live and let live. Seems like a philosophy that will keep us breathing a lot longer...

I just ordered one of these. It will be here tomorrow. My dealer does not stock the wiring kit. Do you need extra wiring?
Yes or no.
If you buy the wiring harness that others have used it has all the wiring you need. Search the threads for say "wiring harness horn" or hopefully someone will post the part number.

I did it old school. In that approach you use the existing horn wires after pulling them back to near seat area(where I installed relay), then you need a fused leader from the battery to the relay, a length of wire from the relay to the Wolo for power and another length of wire from the horn to ground.
It's easier than it seems but if you can wait the harness technically is even easier.

In Maggie Valley and wiped out so this is all I have tonight...
