Since I'm going to pull the wheel to put on my axle mount license bracket, would it be easier to put in my PCS links with the wheel off? I know it sounds like a dumb question, but I didn't know if the weight of the wheel would actually help with the link exchange or something. Thanks.

Ya it'll help. You might also wanna pull the entire rear fender off since you are pulling the tire. It will make both of your projects much easier. The fender isn't difficult to remve at all. Just make sure to loosen the front of the struts a touch so you can slide it out without dinging up the paint.

I did mine with the rear tire off. It is easier to get to everything. I didn't tighten it up until I had the tire on and sitting on the ground though. As per the instructions. As far as taking off the rear fender. It might help but it's not needed if you have a good motorcycle jack and can get your bike up enough to clear out the back and to the side. I've had my rear rim/tire off twice and both times was a piece of cake.
