Bought my Reddish Copper Stryker last week. Lowered the rear 2" yesterday. Looks great. I'm wanting to get rid of the plastic in the rear fender and install an integrated taillight. I'm not finding a lot of options. Low n mean has a decent one, but it appears as though the turn signals aren't very visible from the rear. Anybody have any other options?

That very question is a huge part of these forums. Use the search function. A lot of the guys are using an integrated Kawasaki light off eBay less than $50, small amount of splicing to hook it up. Some threads have full how-to's with pix and a lot of technical information. Search and ye shall find! Welcome to the madness that is modding.

Thanks for the tips. I'm assuming this will illuminate the license plate as well? I know the wiring will be different (kawi vs. yamaha), but will this mount directly to the fender, or do I have to use the stock plastic? Do I need to fabricate a mounting plate of some sort? Lots o'questions! I just want to get this done to give the Harley Boys tire envy!

Most have gone to side mount for plate.... I've found crotch rocket side mounts those are vert mounts a member on here has made his own. Sounds like you can either trim up plastic or remove it compleatly it's your call what you want.... Just keep searching on here you'll find different options

I'm in the Des Moines area... But in the suburbs, not the city. Yeah, I intend to go sidemount eventually, but I want my bike to be rideable after each mod, as opposed to waiting for a part. It looked like there were tabs to mount a plate, but I wasn't sure.

I used to travel to des Moines every other week for 8 years, don't miss your winters, I still have a rental home in Windsor heights, used to hangout at prairie meadows and the lumberyard, dam I miss 801 Grand, best steaks anywhere, hands down

No, it won't illuminate the plate. I used some real simple and cheap little led bolt lights (see pic). You don't need ANYTHING to mount this light that you don't already have. I simply cut the plastic AND the metal part of the stock mount down so that none of it is showing outside the fender. I'll re-post some pics from another thread on the subject. I took a couple of pics from underneath with the fender off and you can see how I cut the stock mount.

Here's the finished product. Looks as clean as anything I've seen with the exception of the led strip. I almost went that route but was concerned about daytime visibility.
