Been spitballing with some Plasti-dip, and have settled on this so far.

Will probably increase the area and smooth the edges next weekend.

Thoughts?

was never a fan of the blacked-out look but the contrast of the gloss with the other tins and the flat with the frame and pipes really sets the bike off nice. good job.

Very creative idea. One thought, You might try rounding off the front edge to follow the contour of the tank, about where the reflection is in the first pic. Just a thought. I do like the contrast between the gloss and flat black. Nicely done.

I agree that it will look better as an accent if the front edge is curved to match the tank shape.

Cool idea though!

thanks guys. I agree rounding the frontside edge will definitely add to the lines on the bike. Its already taped off for that adjustment

Peeled the initial dip off the tank, and adjusted for a more "fluid" look.

The light was horrible, hence the shoddy pictures. I'll get better ones up soon as I can

Looks good. Looks similar to what someone else did with carbon fiber looking vinyl. I think it was Fujums, but I could be wrong. Nice that you can take it off if you want .

As long as you dont scrub it or blast it close range, it holds up fantastic, I used it on my truck and the original coat is over a year old.
