I just did this too. Cut the mount off the old one and use automotive decal tape to stick it to the Irate one.

Irate radiator grill
i just bought a used irate radiator grill and just wanted to check on how to mount it. it has 2 bolt holes on the top that match up but nothing for the bottom. the stock one is a rubber grommet mount, does anybody know how to mount the bottom?

Here's mine:
Good idea. I may ditch the tape and go this routeFor the bottom I cut the fitting from the stock rad cover and riveted to the irate cover
Its built for the V-star 1300 not the Stryker.good idea.. its a little odd that they didn't build it into the cover, they're cool looking though.
Not as steep as the chin scoop!
