I decided I didn't want to do paint it myself, it's cold here and I just rather have a shop do it so if it flakes I can take it back. Is it worth $150 to get the speedo cover, ignition cover and headlight cover painted? They will use ppg paint. And no I do not want to go the plast-dip route anymore as it's a huge hassle to peel it all off and redo everything if it chips, especially the headlight lamp.

Things are bit more expensive here in CA, so this seems like a fair price. If you consider an hour of shop time, cost of paint, prep supplies and cleanup, this is probably a minimal charge to make it worth their time.

Sounds good. If you happy with them doing the work and are happy with the results then I would do it.

I think its a good price. May be steep if you compare it to doing it yourself, but from a body shop it sounds about right. Lets face it. At least its going to be done right and last. And when you look at the finished work you can really tell the difference between home and professional.
