A guy on another forum made a comment that the Stryker just wasn't very popular and probably never will be. But I have noticed an increase in new owners on this forum alone. And I am sure there is a lot more out there that aren't on any forums. So a question came to mind about how many Strykers have been sold since they came out. I could not find any info to answer that question and was wondering if anyone knows how to get that kind of info? I think I counted something like 900 members here a while back and it seems like there has been at lest 1 new member a week here for the past few months.
Anyone with opinions or info on the subject please share?

I think it's a new bike and too soon to tell. The dealer I bought mine said they only sold 11 last year, but already sold 7 this year.
Maybe they need to advertize more. I wouldn't have even known they existed had there not been one setting next to a 1300 in a small privet owned bike shop.

I didn't even know they were around when I bought mine back in February. I went to the dealership planning on buying a Vulcan and walk out with the Stryker. It's been two mounths that I have owned it and rode it to work on Monday and Tuesday, saw a ton of bikes, but no Strykers. Also, alot of guys I work with ride and not one of them have ever heard of the Stryker. They all asked me what is was, I have removed all of the stickers and replace the chrome side cover with a billet cover that doesn't have Yamaha on it.

I never remember seeing a Honda Fury AD before neither, but they were the biggest selling bike their first year out. With that being said, I've only seen two Fury's in the last two years on the road, so what doeas that tell you. Just because you don't see the Stryker doesn't mean they're not alot out there. Its a big world and it takes a lot of time to put out the number of bikes that have been selling for 10 plus years. Give it time and they will come.

i had never heard of them till I went to look at a Raider, liked the Raider but when I sat on the Stryker I fell in love, glad I didn't buy it right away, dealer in Atlanta had them marked up as they were hard to find in black, found it in Arkansas for 2500 less, I still don't see them very often but I have seen a few around town, I like that I ride a bike that seems to be somewhat rare

I would never have bought a Stryker if it wasn't for the motorcycle show. I wasn't looking for a bike and rarely visited the dealers to look except for the Harley dealer where I went to buy oil filters. I gotta be honest...I noticed the Hooters girls next to the Stryker before I saw the bike itself. After I sat on it, it was all over for me. I bought one within the next month. Haven't seen one on the road over the past year that I've owned her.

There were none left in saskatchewan last year, they were in such high demand people were buying them and bringing them out of the province. I have never seen another one on the road and neither have anyone I ride with.
Feels kinda good always getting asked what kind of bike I ride :)

I bought mine localy, it had been in the shop for awhile. After mine they got a blue one, it's still there last time I was in? I prefer to have a bike that isn't so everywhere,,, but.
With a low production bike that dosn't have alot of numbers out there, its going to meen less aftermarket parts, and the ones that are out there will cost more, thats really the only thing that sucks.

Well after a lot of searching it appears that Yamaha manufactured only 1500 units for sale worldwide for the 2010/2011 model year. That is a good reason we don't see alot of them. I did not read any where how many were manufactured for the 2012 year.
