What you can do, and i did this to my blackberry a while back, is take scotch tape and place it over the LEDs and then take a color highlighter that you want and color over the tape. should work and only cost a few pennies

If someone wants to send me there speedo. Id be glad to try it. Id need it for alittle while since I'd have to take it apart and figure out what size leds there using. Im pretty good at soldering. Only reason I cant do mine is due to the fact its going to be in the body shop for a while.

I want to change mine out with blue SMT LED's & I'm having a hard time locating them on the interinet can someone point me in the right dirrection thanks.
Do you have the equipment/ability to do the job? SMT means surface mount technology; i.e., they are VERY small. You can try ordering through digikey or jameco or the like or even eBay.

I would need to buy a pin point sodering iron to do it , but to me would be worth the effort, its finding the led light that i'm dumb at.

Digikey.com or alliedelectric.com
I use digikey since they carry just about everything and have good info on every product.
Is there a specific P/N?

I don't like the red backlight......

And since I'm getting Nyjol's deluxe version with a white light, I'd rather have it backlight white too......I think, not sure if it'll matter once I get the Nyjols new speedo....

no specific part number. but the key is to measure the size of the existing led and then on digi key it will let you search by size and color. you also need to figure out what Vf (voltage foward) the leds are. its easy to do. Use a volt meter when the leds are on and make sure there at full brightness and neg prob on one side and poss on the other will tell you voltage drop across one led which is your Vf. so say if that 2.3 volts id find a led that max Vf is 2.4 or 2.5 volts. but look at the data sheet on the leds and made sure that 2.3 volts (if the voltage drop is 2.3) will drive the led bright enough 90%. its ok to run at 100 but leds start to fail quickly at anything over 100% also when you check for the voltage drop across one led make sure that the bike is running since the supply voltage will be higher with it running than off the battery. im not sure if there is a regulator to the speedo that limits it to 12 volts. i assume there is but not sure.
