Woke up this morning to -15F (-35F with the wind chill) here in Minnesota. Believe it or not...that's not the bad part. The worst part is we hardly have any snow so it's just plain cold with nothing to do. I've always looked forward to riding the motorcycle until the snow flies then bring out the snowmobile. Bring on the snow or let it warm up. Cold and no snow is not good!!

I got snowed in once in Des Moines, IA during a layover, 4 hours turned into 3 days, they got about 2 ft of snow and the temps were -20 at night, coldest I have ever been but the cabbies know how to drive in that ****, they have a nice casino there ans some world class stripclubs so it wasn't then end of the world for me and my buds

I don't mind the sub zero temps, the wind is what hurts!

I must have just missed you this past Sunday. I came thru Woodbury and Newport on 494. 5’F at 70mph is really hard on the finger tips and that is what limits my ride time. 30 to 60 minutes in the winter. It’s my 3rd winter riding and I love it. I’ve been out 7 times since Xmas day. It’s a lot like snowmobiling, just different. April is just around the corner, hang in there. ;D

It’s quite exhilarating, give it a try. Just imagine it having 2 ski’s on the front. I always come back with a big smile. “Disclaimer for the Stryker” – It is parked in a 70’F maintenance shop so the engine itself never actually knows how cold it is outside.

The coldest I've been out has been the upper teens low 20'a.... The look on people's faces when you're at a stoplight makes the numb fingers almost it, that's why I went wih the heated grips :)

Same for me. It's funny how driving 60mph on a bike at 20 degrees feels colder than 100mph on a snowmobile where the temp is -10f.

Its in the 20s heading home from work today. Wind chill says 13° and winds at 15. Saw 2 bikers today on the road. I know there's a saying " I'm a die hard rider" but dam you gotta be kidding me.

I went for a ride around town last Saturday. It was 45 and sunny. On Monday I took my bike back down to the body shop to be repainted (about 2 miles away). The temperature then was 20 and below zero at 45mph. I couldn't find my gloves anywhere and still haven't got my heated grips on yet so by the time I got to the shop I couldn't feel my fingers to take my helmet off, lol. Supposed to be in the 50's here on Tuesday, I'm keeping my fingers crossed the shop is done by then.

We've had arctic weather here too, highs in the teens and lows at -5 to -10 but little or no snow. Brand new sled that I finally got about 135 miles on.
Got so bummed I called up the dealer yesterday and they will be delivering my new Stryker next Sat. Was gonna hold off til March but I sold the Honda last weekend and there's room in the garage so I figured I could get started with a few mods and if it warms up a little maybe sneak in a test ride! Forecast is for highs in the upper 40s near 50 by midweek. Been another strange winter here in New England, I'm ready for spring but know we're do for a couple of big storms yet. Can't wait to get the bike home though, got some plans a brewin.

Here is PA today it got up in the 50's. I had to come home early and get a nice 45 minute ride in. once the sun went down it got cold quick...but it felt great to get out for a while! Let's hope the groundhog predicts an early spring!
