When I rode to work this morning it was 82 deg. Left work it was 100 deg. Of course the humidity made it worse. That was the hottest weather I've ever rode in. My face was on FIRE. :-\ That is very uncommon for Detroit weather. By the way we (Detroit) broke a record today set back in 1926. ;D

You want heat, come on down to Georgia. I work swing shift and have to be at work at 3:15. I headed out and forgot that they were paving the main highway. There are no detours. So I sat in dead stop traffic for ten minutes waiting for the follow me truck to get back to us so we could go. Oh, and I work on an Air Force base so we have to have reflective vests and long sleeves. So I was sitting there with a black leather and mesh jacket and a black helmet. I was dying.

July and August are inferno months down here in Texas too! I'm still somewhat new to the state myself, but I still commute every single day and go out every weekend with my bikes, even in 105 degrees and high humidity. If I didn't, I'd miss much of the riding season! lol

TRUE STORY:
Ranchers in southern states hit by sweltering heat are selling
fully cooked barbecue right from the livestock.
"We let the customer choose the cattle and then we hose it down
with sauce and send it out into the fields. Within twenty minutes
the barbecue is piping hot and ready to eat," said a Texas rancher.
Barbecue restaurants are crying foul over the direct sales of the
product to the public.
