Hey guys, Orphaned1 here. This is my first entry to the forum. I live in southeast Texas, about 80 miles from Houston. Bought my Stryker in 2011, a beautiful blue bike! It was my return to riding since the late 70's. Lost a friend in a bike/car accident back then, and it shook me up pretty good. I work in the surgical field, I saw my friend under go brain surgery, and lie brain dead in the ICU until unplugged from life support machines 2 days later. Never rode or so much as sat on a motorcycle for over 30 years except once during the 80's. Another friend of mine bought a Ninja and wouldn't leave me alone until I rode it around the block. One time around the block was all I did too! The end of the 90's saw me begin to get that itch again. A few years into the new millennium I started voicing my growing desire to start riding again to my wife. As expected, she was against the notion. By 2010, I was sure I wanted to ride again, but wasn't sure I was financially ready. A friend of mine was riding a Yamaha bagger at the time, and finally convinced me to check out the local dealer. I was reluctant because I was really afraid if I sat on one I would buy one. I was right. My wife was not truly happy with my decision, but realized resisting at this point was useless:deadhorse:. She grew less apprehensive about me riding, as I grew more comfortable on the bike. Two weeks after the purchase, it was like I had never stopped riding at all. I ride my bike every day that it doesn't rain. It's great to be back in the saddle again!
