Hello everyone. I have been looking into getting a new bike lately and noticed the 2011 Raven Stryker online, and fell in love. This will be my second bike. I then found this forum, which seems to be great from what I can tell!

I guess I just wanted to say hi, and ask anyone's opinion on the Stryker I found. I have been having trouble finding a new 2011 Raven Stryker, but I found one this morning that's only 2.5 hrs away! The dealer is asking $9500, and doesn't seem to want to budge at all. This is their demo bike, but it only has about 20 miles on it. Does this sound like a good deal, or should I push for a lower price? And, is it just me or are these bikes really hard to find at this point in time?

Anyway, thanks for reading my post if you made it this far, and I hope that by the weekend I will be the proud owner of a Raven Stryker!

probably not the cheapest price, but not the highest price. Midrange I would say buy-it!

Bought my Blue Stryker as a leftover 2011 demo with just over 100 miles on it for 8000 out the door from a dealer in Northern MN. This has been a great forum for info. It is also a great group of people who like to add mods to their bikes. I like the idea of "It's not what you buy, it's what you build" with this bike I liked it when I bought it, and I fall in love with it more every time I change something.

The downside is that you will buy the bike, then want some cool parts for it, then you put that on, and then another thing catches your eye, then you see something that someone else did that would look sweet on your ride, then your wife is yelling out to the garage at midnight wondering if you are coming inside soon, you say your are, but you know you aren't. Now you are addicted so you cut off more stuff and if you have a raven model you paint things, but painting them just isn't the same as powdercoating, so you spend money to have parts powdercoated. Then you realize that paying someone to powdercoat parts is expensive, so you buy a powdercoating kit so you can do it at home. Pretty soon it is midnight and your wife is pissed that you are powdercoating things in her oven, so you mention that a couple weeks ago she was pissed you were in the garage at midnight and she should be happy you are in the house. But she is not, so you go back out to the garage and realize you really could use that 250 tire on the back and maybe a new front fender. And the vicious cycle begins.

Sorry for the long post. Buy the bike, it is awesome, but don't say I didn't warn ya I will be in the garage if you need me :)

I would say $9500 is a fair price especially if it's the Raven, they are the toughest ones to find right now. When I got my Stryker I looked all over the state for a Raven and they were all gone. I would say grab it while you can, if you can't get them to budge on price get them to toss in a helmet, sissy bar, tank bib, cobra slip-on or engine guards or just something to make it a good deal. I got my dealer to toss in a $300 Z1R Helmet and I bought a tank bib and sissy bar at cost. Since then anything I order he gives me great discounts so in the end it actually worked out great.

Wow, I would have been in the same boat but I came up with a game plan. I bought a 950 first. then got my son in law in on the plan and we pushed my wife into taking it for a ride. knowing she would love it and wont it for herself I would then buy the STRYKER oh yaya. Then we could ride and mod together. So now I have a Stryker hehe. The only problem is we don't have much money for mods and she wants to mod hers too so I'm not sure how that's going to work. Wait ,I know ::) I'll race her for the rights to buy mods for the Stryker first. ;D
Oh and welcome to the forum and that's a fair price.

That's not a bad price. I know a couple dealers that are asking $10500 for 2011's in the Twin Cities right now. I doubt they'll get full price but I bet they don't need to drop it too much. Buy the bike. You'll love it! Welcome from Minnesota.

I'd say out the door 9500 is a decent price, but not if they add assembly and delivery fees. Tell them you will do 9500 out the door plus 750 store credit. If they don't like it there are plenty other dealers out there that have this bike at a good price. I think you should be able to find a new one for aroung 8500. That's just my 2 cents.

Thanks so much for all of the welcomes and replies guys. :)

I only got the dealer to come down to 9200 including all of the dealer fees, but not tax or registration, plus 10% off anything else in the store. But, I am going to run over and buy it as soon as the financing comes through! I just love this bike, and don't want to take a chance of missing it.

DotCom: One benefit of not having much money is not being able to get sucked into that vicious cycle, heh heh.

Thanks again guys, and can't wait to go pick up my shiny new Stryker!!
