well the subject pretty much says it all. My OEM filter is in need of replacement and I'm curious to see if there's really much performance benefit to justify spending more than 2x as much to spring for the K&N. I know in the long run the K&N is cheaper since it doesn't need replacement...the thing is i just don't really care too much for cleaning and re-oiling filters.

You will see some performance gain, but you will have to clean and reoil, but as you already know- K&N is much cheaper in the long run!

My Son in law put the K&N in his crotch rocket and said big improvement in power and mpg.
