I am thinking about welding the fender stay hole up and be done with them.. Maybe do some pin stripping ..

They also hold the fender on. Unless you weld it to the bracket.

Right, I was think of welding nuts to the back sides of the fenders. Looks like its going to work out . The seat rear bracket also helps to hold the fender on. It's a plan in the works at this time. I want to paint the tank and fender at the same time .
