Dumb newbie question, but do you all ride around with a kickstand plate/puck/pad whatever you call it to keep your kickstand from sinking in soft asphalt or grass?

Looking for advice on what you all like / dislike.
Thanks!

You guys must live down south where it gets reeeeeally hot. Up here in washington i have never had an issue with my bike wanting to fall over from the kickstand sinking haha. happend to a friend once but he parked in some soft dirt and left it for 3 hours. It tipped over right in front of him when he came out of the house lol talk about a helpless feeling.

Here in upstate ny it gets hot enough to sink into the pavement. I have seen it several times. I have a small piece of aluminum plate that i carry with me

I carry around a small octagonal electric cover plate I got at Home Depot. They are strong and not very costly.
In the summer it can get hot enough to be worried especially if the parking lot has been recently repaved...

Thanks for the ideas guys! I just remembered I have some left over diamond plate that I could make into a pad. I'm in Michigan but the asphalt still gets hot enough for things to sink into it. Also, I thought it would be a good idea to have a pad for scenic parking areas which are gravel / crushed concrete or also at ralleys where alot if the parking is in the grass.
