Finally found it!! Kuryakn's transformer back rest!! My question is has anyone seen these and tried to put them on a Stryker? They only have the side straps that fit all '99-'09 V Star 1100 Models and all '99-'09 Road Star Models. I wonder if the one for the star 1100 would work width wise and not have to do any or to much moding to make it work.

I just emailed Kuryakn to see if there was any way to make these things fit with their existing side straps or if there is any plans to have one that fits the Stryker. I hope they email me back soon with good news. lol

I like the design of the Yamaha backrest but I also like these. Plus not to mention that I have found the Kuraykn ones for bout $100 less than the yamaha one. I am a very budget minded person plus my boss really dont want to ride till she has a back rest. lol

I’m just the opposite, I’m not price sensitive at all, when I want something I usually just get it with no regrets, especially if it’s quality. My wife road with me quite a bit on the Stryker with no backrest, then we planned this weekend ride in the mountains so I ran out and got the Yammy backrest and she couldn’t believe the difference. She loves it! I love the fact that I can so easily remove it.

Very true. I just wanted to get peoples input to see if anyone has tried to see if they fit. And as far as any of the aftermarket ones the Kuraykn ones look the best next to the Yamaha ones. But more than likely I will end up getting the yamaha quick release if there isnt a way to mount them or if there is no plans for a stryker version.

I have looked at both of these and was wondering the same thing. Please let us know what they say.

I am interested in your comment about your wife's change in comfort. Stock seat? My wife just can not get comfortable without the rest, but I am not sure if it is that or the seat.

Well I got a response from Kuryakn and it wasnt the news I wanted to hear. Seems to me the tone that I got from this response is we don't care about the model of your bike even though it would look sick on it. I think everyone on the forums should email Kuraykn and tell them that they should start making a plan to have one that fits a stryker.OH well I tried, guess I gotta start saving those pennies for the Yamaha back rest. LOL

Hey Patrick

No it will not fit and as of right now we do not plan on having it for your model.

Please feel free to call or email with any other questions.

Thank you

Tom Rudd (founder and president of Kuryakyn) lives about 15 miles from my house and is the neighbor of one of my coworkers. I may have to see if I can arrange a meet up with him.

There is a guy that parks next to me at work that has a Warrior with that backrest, and being totally honest, was the inspiration for my custom job I just did in my garage last week. I'd seriously consider throwing mine in the trash and purchasing that one if it would fit.

Cool! IMHO the lines of those backrests are awesome and I think they would look sick as **** on our bikes. I can only assume their reasoning is that there are only two model years. But if you get a chance to talk to that guy tell him we want our bikes to be the model and test subjects for them and maybe he can hook us up with free ones (going out on a limb with this comment). LMAO Shoot me a PM or email me if you hear anything good from those guys.

Straight don't worry you are at the top of that list! Lol shoot if I had a torch and welder I think I could make some brackets. There are a few kuraykn dealers around me so I'm gonna see if any of them have one of the back rests in stock so I can get some dimensions and if I really think they will work I'll come up with a simple drawing and shoot you a PM or email to see what you think. And a side note Straight I should be hitting up for a verticle slip on side mount next month some time.
