Well I apologize in advance because up to now there is nothing original here. Mostly all I have done thus far is taken some good ideas from other members and applied the mods I liked. I do have some original thoughts but not sure how to apply them thus far. So let's begin.........

Purchased December 3, 2011 brand new from the show room floor at Cycle Sports Center in Orlando, FL

2/11/2012 Installed the Cobra PowrFlo Air Intake System - Black
http://www.cobrausa.com/access_detail.php?model_id=312&make_id=6&category_id=45&product_id=2880&model=Stryker&product_type=Motorcycle%20Accessories&product_name=PowrFlo%20Air%20Intake%20System%20-%20Black

I have installed the included bracket but it does bother me a little. I may remove it as a test. I think it detracts a little from the clean lines of the PowrFlo. There are 3 other bolts that hold the unit on. I think this was just over engineered. I may be wrong.

I also removed the upper and lower belt covers. I have plans to modify them eventually. Stay tuned for that.

Very Nice Kuro, But I would keep that lower bracket for the PowrFlo. Without it all that weight is just hanging by the Rubber Inlet hoses and cables. Just my opinion friend!

Everything looks great. Nice work. Can't give you any thoughts on originality though. I think that's what you started asking on this thread? That will have to come from your own ideas. The concern I would have if it as my bike would be where the horn is mounted. Pretty sure I would have ripped it of on a couple of tight turns I've had to deal with. Especially if you lower the rear I would check the clearance of that horn . It looks pretty low by those pics.

I hear you on the horn Toby. I have rubbed it once in a location very close to the location it is at now. The current location is just a tad higher and will have to see if I rub it again. I like it where it is but if I rub again will look at other options. Just not too many options left to keep it stealth. Hated where they put it from factory.

As for originality, I wasn't really looking for input so much on that. I was just stating that I haven't done anything really that was original yet. Do have plans though. We'll see what I come up with. There are a lot of members on here doing some cool things and that helps others to think of new ideas.

Think I read somewhere someone put the horn behind the radiator?

Thank you traxscr and SFCMcGan. Yeah that might be an option as well Toby and once I get the L&M chin spoiler I may even find room behind it. We'll see, I will probably make a bracket of some sort. Work in progress. God I love this ****.

Well I have ordered my exhaust. Vance & Hines Twin Slash Staggered in black.

http://www.vanceandhines.com/store/metric/yamaha/48501

Can't wait. One of the best looking exhaust systems I've seen on the Stryker. Other systems I was considering were:
1. Vance & Hines Big Radius 2-Into-2 PC
http://www.vanceandhines.com/store/metric/yamaha/18529

2. Cobra Speedster Swept - Black
3. Cobra Slip-on Muffler with Scalloped Tip - Black
http://www.cobrausa.com/exhaust_compare.php?model_id=312&make_id=6&model=Stryker&product_type%20=%20Motorcycle%20Exhausts

I would have loved to had the Big Radius but saw that they stick out a bit and the rear foot brake assembly had to moved out. This may not be much of an issue for you non-height challenged individuals but unfortunately was my issue.

Well today I decided there was no turning back and I modified my upper and lower belt guards. So I took some tape and made a cut line. Then I made the first cut.

Didn't like it. So I decided to rethink the cut and placement and started on the lower piece. Taped it and made the first cut.

Getting there. I knew I was going to have to cut the upper guard back more to be more fluent with the lower one. In order to support the upper guard I had to make a couple of brackets. I used some metal I had lying around.

Here is the final look at the install before I made my final cuts.

And here is the final product.

Pretty happy. Give me your thoughts. I also removed the rear pegs. This will be a solo bike soon so no need for them.
