I was able to get my wife's factory grips off her Stryler with no problems. It was a combination of long-ass screwdriver, WD-40 and compressed air. It took me about 2 minutes.
Kuryakyn Grips

Installed a new BLACK set of Kuryakyn (Part #6345) grips today. Installation went pretty much as expected.
1. I found the dameter of the part that fits inside the right side controls is a bit larger than stock. Therefore the controls do not quite go back together properly. Some grounding of the hole in the controls is necessary.
2. Left side is glued on pretty good. Even with a compressor (weak one) I was not able to salvage the grip. I had to slice it off.
It turned out to be a bit more work than I expected, but the final product is worth it. Sorry for the crappy pics. Iphone is not so good in the dark.
