Got the pegs today and put them on for my ride home from work. I really like these. They are very comfortable. They are real low profile and somewhat concave on the surface. It makes me feel like my feet sit a bit lower, which at 6'3 is nice. Tire Automotive tire Vehicle Auto part Automotive exterior

I was thinking about those as well. They look good on the bike. I just might have to spend a little more money now. Also, I'm 6'4'' and the little extra room you mention sounds quite nice.

Slightly unrelated, how did you remove the stock brake/shift peg to mount the aftermarket one? Did you grind it off and drill/tap a hole?

That is just a cover that goes over the existing shift and brake. You have to remove the stock rubber on them and then these just slide in.
