I've been looking for some mirrors and thusfar the ones I like best are the Kuryakyn Scythes.

I was reading the reviews about them on Amazon though and was disappointed with what I read there. People saying that they are loose and can move, especially above 80mph.

Don't know if they maybe didn't install them right? Maybe should use locktite?

Anyway just wanted to see if anyone else has tried them and can confirm this problem and if so was there anything you did to fix it?

I also understand that I'll need the metric mirror adapter.

Wouldn't mind some other suggestions too. Not fond of the tear shaped Arlen Ness's or anything rectangular.

Yeah, installed with just the set screws they will spin on ya, locktite will hold em in place though, I love mine

I have them and love them. The brake side is never an issue because the wind "pushes" it tighter if that's possible. The clutch side will loosten but a little locktite solves that problem.

I have those also ... The gloss black version and I love those. Did not have any problem with spinning yet.

WATCH OUT!!! You are looking at the wrong adapter!!! You need the part number 1413 like those:

I have a set of Kuri and love them. No problems. If you want to save some money, check out Demon Cycles web site for a copy cat really cheap. Saw them to late.

I'm sorry, I have the ones from Demon Cycles, not the Kury ones. They are really, really, nice. The price is so much better, too. They aren't cheap plastic either.

I got mine from demon cycle. Pretty sure they are knockoffs but they look good and work great at a fraction of the cost of the real things.

I think I need to upgrade my mirrors.....

Are these the version from Demonscycle.com? They don't quite look as nice in pictures as the Kury's. These are called Claws.

What is the real difference between 1449 and 1760?

Is 1449 chrome? (they look grayish/black to me on the site) and 1760 black

Seems to the be the best deal I could find.....I've got the loctite.....

I have the Kuryakyn Scythes mirrors in black. They are really sharp looking. They use to come loose on me at about 70 mph with vibration. I put a small amount of locktite and tightened the allen screws on the side of the mirror and havent had the problem since.

my allen screws stripped out on me, kust took em off and put stockers back on, may paint those black or find something else
