Has anyone who purchased the chin scoop from Low and Mean tried using something other than the mesh that you have to purchase seperately from them? I know they are offering a group buy for $35 for the mesh but I think that there has to be another very inexpensive option available.

I bought the mesh but would not do it again. The shape was not fitting the scoop really well ... I ended up having to work on it at lot to make it fit well.

I would do like shimbo and do my own if I had to do it again.

I am leaning towards trying to find something myself. It cant be too hard to cut it to the right side. In the picture of the mesh on the L&M site there is some type of adhesive in a small bottle. Does this come with the mesh? If so what is it and do you think I can just get it at any hardware store?

I bought the low and mean chin scoop but couldn't justify spending over 50$ on a screen mesh for it. So I went to the hardware store and bought a 1'X2' wire mesh piece for less than $3 and some apoxy and double sided tape. I measured the proper spacing with a half inch overlap and hand bent and formed it to the chin scoop and used double sided tape to hold it in place while the quick set apoxy bonded. Total cost less than $10 and looks amazing. I also painted the screen black with some paint I had.

11Stryker got two pieces ... But mine was a single piece. The glue provided was useless ... I used glue gun...
