Teddy,
Welcome! I’ve owned mine since November 2013 bought new, aside from tires, brakes, oil changes, yearly belt adjustment. I’ve had zero issues. Just recently had new fork seals done. I’m just about ready to turn 28,000 miles. Still on original battery too! Before you buy it remove the seat and look at the ECU (computer module) it’s covered by a rubber boot-pull it out and see if it has a sticker on it that says Ivan’s performance, if so that is a good thing! Will save you about $400!
If it doesn’t you’ll want to save for the “flash” or “tune”. One of the best things I’ve done. www.ivansperformanceproducts.com check out his site it will explain all that he does to retune the Stryker. Made it so much more enjoyable to ride.
great bike for daily commute!
5k to me sounds like a fair price especially in CA. Iron horse has many great points.
Most weird issues that have come about were due to a bad battery!
Rear tires on this bike is a yearly change for me, about 6-9k out of a tire. So far the cobra 240 rear tire has lasted the longest and performed the best for me. I’m at 8k with it and will get the rest of this season out of it. There is limited aftermarket parts for it but enough for you to personalize it to your taste! I will keep mine until i can’t ride no more!
