Hey just wondering if people might be interested in this. I've got parent/teacher conferences till 9:45 or so but figure I'd be departing Naperville area by 10:00. Was thinking about taking 355 to Lake Cook/12. Depending on who wants to ride we could take a different route or just meet up closer and ride around there.
Would like to do some riding up there and grab a bite to eat so guessing about 3 hours for that.

And since when do you ride on the 355? You don't the fast roads. ;)

That what sick days are for...

I still don't prefer the highways but for shorter stretches and off times they do have their place. On the way back I'd probably opt for 47 or something like that since 355 on Friday evening around 4:00ish would be a nightmare

I actually wanted to take off Friday, but others were already scheduled off. So I'm off today instead. Running lots of errands today.

pfhWJ and Chemicalviper: Looks like you guys are in slightly different directions but what if we met at Freddies in Fox Lake and then traveled up 12 to the Lake Geneva area? I could be at Freddies at 11:15 and might have another rider coming w/ me as well. They open at 11:00 according to their website.

I'm also open to meeting somewhere closer to Lake Geneva if that makes more sense to everyone. Figured we'd grab a bite to eat, shoot the breeze and then ride around till people had to start heading back. Cool start but then in the mid 70's which ought to be nice for riding. I'll most likely take 47 back home myself.

Anyone else is more then welcome to attend. Once we have people attending I can send a PM w/ my cell number and the like. We'll work out common meeting place(s) as needed.

Just wondering if anyone is planning on heading up tomorrow? I have early conferences and then was departing after that so best to know tonight to work out meeting places and numbers etc.

No worries either way just trying to coordinate the day. Too nice to not ride so I'm going somewhere...

Ha, just saw this today. Went to Lake Geneva from the Streets of Woodfield today. Crazy busy with the Columbus day festivities.
No worries. Went anyway since seemed like possibly one of the last nice days for a ride. Met some people at stops and lunch and the riding was a nice 260+

Avoided the downtown area because as always it was jammed with people.

Maybe there will be another day to take a ride by you. Stopped at the HD dealer there w/ one of my riding buddies and he says they generally have something going on every weekend. And I'm sure there are bigger ones but that flipping dealership is personally the largest I have ever seen.
