You are usually better buying the LED strips separately so you can custom make your own kit to fit the best and give you the best light output while keeping the actual strip hidden (so there are no 'hot spots' where you see nothing but the strip). I buy all of my LED strips from Oznium.com. They are very durable and have a great light output. You will typically end up paying a little bit more than a kit, but you get better light output if you do it correctly.

Here is my bike with I believe around 10-15 LED strips. You can see a few hot spots in the pictures that have since been fixed:

So since I have the bike all torn apart I am looking at replacing the light kit I have. I currently have the 10 pc advanced kit from LEDGlow ( http://www.motorcycleledlights.com/Advanced-Million-Color-Motorcycle-LED-Lights-10pc.aspx ).

I'm debating on going to a pod style if it comes in more then one color or one of the new styles that use your phone to change themes and color (http://www.xkglow.com/iPhone_App_12_Strip_LED_Motorcycle_Neon_Light_Kit_p/xk034009.htm).

Anyone have any experience with either the pods or phone app controlled?

I have the red LED Glow on mine. I only put 6 strips on mine for a more subdued look. It was quite easy to install....I took it to a shop!! I know it was lazy, but it is the only mod I haven't done myself so far.
