So I have a question for you Stryker riders. I'm 6' and I have installed the floorboards with a forward control relo kit, just as some background info. Here is my problem:
When traveling at high speeds, usually highways, I find that my legs constantly "blow backwards" and I am needing to keep my knees pressed to the tank or I am sitting spread eagle on the bike. After about 30-45 minutes of doing this, my legs get pretty tired. I have looked at highway bars, but haven't found any that would fit with my current config, so does anyone have a good solution out there? Or should I look into removing the relo kit to see if that is my issue?

I have the relocation kit but i'm still using the stock pegs and I don't have this problem i'm 6'2. have you tried the relocation kit with the stock pegs to see if it holds your feet in position better what I do on long rides is stick my feet over the pegs and rest the back of my feet/ ankle area on the pegs.

I have the same issue Drizz. I just change positions frequently to avoid fatigue. I often hang my feet over the pegs, wedge my toes under the shifter for my left leg and under the brake for my right leg. I was thinking floorboards would be the cure. That was my plan. Guess it doesn't make a difference.

You could use a bungie to keep your knees together. ;D I hear kegel exercises help too!

For me, floorboards suck. I have had them on a previous bike and the problem is you cannot flex your ankle like you can with pegs. Also, floorboards are more prone to scrape in the corners. It just doesn't feel like you're riding a bike with floorboards. Just my opinion on the matter.

Hey drizz, is this a problem that occured due to the forward controls or the floorboards? Or combination of both? I personally would never have floorboards, but am planning to get the forward controls. Don't wanna have this same problem. I'm about your size....5'11", 175

I did put the floorboards on mine without the forward relocation kit and it is so much more comfortable for me. I really didn't want the boards and caught some flack from the boys about being an old man for doing it but am really glad I did----I"M MORE COMFORTABLE THEN THEY ARE ;D 8) :p They do scrape alot sooner in the corners thought--almost went down on her the other day because of it. Guess I better slow down in them turns  ::) :'(

Did those boards come with a cane for when you park your bike and have to walk up the nursing home steps?

Haha....only kidding around bro. Had a bad accident myself a few years ago. Landed me in a wheelchair for almost a year and I had to use a cane for a little while after that....then I said, @#$ that... I ain't walking with no **** cane. LOL

Ya you young guys joke about it but when you get up there in the years and you work hard all your life you will know it. I got 2 blown discs in my neck and get injections for pain and I think after this riding season they are going to operate because I guess they found my mind that I lost and they are going to put it back in and bolt my head back on. And I am getting lower back pain now too but non of this is going to stop me from riding. If you see a guy with a head brace on a Stryker in 2013 that will be me. ;D

For me it's usually just early in the season, that my legs get tired from riding.

it's the same thing, keeping your knees in, gets exhausting. I actually joked about making some riding jeans with a big strong magnet on the inside of your knees to clamp them to the gas tank!
Ya my wife has been riding horses all here life and does not complain about leg fatigue. I have to tell her to quit squeezing so hard that I can't breath though.

Try the Kury Swing Wings. Gives you a solud peg and another spit 3" up. Im running those pkus forward controls, 6'4" and i ride almost streight leg on the extenders, very comfortable.

Well I can't talk along with you tall guys, I'm only 5'6" and shrinking. I also found the fatigue keeping my knees in against the tank but since I put on the floorboards no more problem with that. They allow me to move my foot position enough to be comfy, and as I'm over 60 maybe I've earned the concession to ride them boards. Toby that surgery sounds really scary, I hope things work out for you. I can't imagine a situation which would stop me from riding, it has been such a part of my life for the last 48 years and I'm grateful. One of my Buddies is 82 and rides a Honda Deuville, I think that's what it's called, on Sunday his T-shirt read, "82 and still remotely in control". If I can get there I'd be so proud. Regards from Durban RSA.

I've looked at this option, but went with the floorboards instead. A highway bar would be ideal, but I've only seen two, and neither will work with my set up. Maybe I'll use the bungee option lol!
