This frame with built in LED lights works really well. I bought my on Amazon.

To fit flush I had to notch the plate a little bit. I debured it then added a rubber grommet to protect the wiring.

I have license plate bolts with LEDs. Work awesome and can be wired in easy. I got mine for less than ten bucks. The only issue is make sure you get the metal ones. My first set were plastic and broke. The metal ones are still going strong and are super bright.

2nd this. Very visible with the 6 leds.
Also, if you use the license plate screw lights and need to change out the plate(for the yearly sticker etc.) you'll have to disconnect the lights. If you only need to do this once every 4-5 years for new plates then probably a non-issue.

Thats the one i've had for a year now and it has worked well. Its really bright. I wired mine up to a fusable link and mounted a switch under the tank.
