After getting caught twice in the rain this past weekend, we decided we need to get a good, lightweight rain suit that we can keep in a backpack for summer riding. We have heavier jackets with a rain layer, but I'm looking for something small that can be kept in a bag and just thrown on when it starts to rain in the summer riding season. I saw some other posts for Frog Troggs, but I also read that they leak. Any other recommendations from those that have them?

We bought Motocentric 2 piece rain suits and boot covers from motorcycle superstore 2 years ago, they are still holding up. We haven't had to use them often, but we keep them on the bikes at all times. The suits are fairly inexpensive, but I noticed the price today is about 20$ more then we paid a couple years ago. =)

My wife got a set of Frog Toggs, and she got soaked. It's a really thin material, and the rain seemed to go right through it.

I got a one-piece suit for $30 on Jafrum.com made by Thunder Under, and it works great.

I've had mine for 4 years and have gotten in some downright nasty storms and it kept me dry, my buddy bought the set Walmart sells by Frogg Togs and he got soaked so I guess not all Frogg Togs are good

That was the question I was going to ask....are there different models of the Frogg Toggs? It seems like some people have no issues but others are getting soaked.

Maybe there is a cheaper model that isn't as good that is being sold by the box stores.

There are alot of different types / styles of Frogg Togg's.. & it's so hard to judge just by looking online at all these different rain jackets / pants / booties / gloves / suits... etc..

the best thing.. go shopping physically in a store.. so you can try on & feel what they are selling.. if you like what they got - write down the item# / description - then go looking up online for reviews and better prices.
