That's what I do too. I just leave the bike in first gear so I don't have to worry about it rolling on me.I just fill mine up while holding the bike upright. I have really long arms and legs so it isnt really hard for me.
+1. Cutting a solid piece in half seems like it creates a point of failure or stress point. I am not a welder but I like the idea of welding to the bottom of the foot instead if I was going to go through the effort. Can't say that any of this is worth getting that little extra into the tank. Just my opinion.
+1 and even for filling it upright to get maybe 1/4 more gallon of gas. That's like 10 miles which unless you are in the middle of nowhere just doesn't seem worth the trouble. I can get 140+ out of a tank which is plenty far to ride between stops for me.Can't say that any of this is worth getting that little extra into the tank. Just my opinion.
Good idea. Thanks.I would just weld something to the bottom of the kickstand. It would be a lot less work than cutting, welding in section, sanding & grinding smooth to look nice. Just a thought.
OMG yes 10 times yes. Must be doneFabricate a Gene Simmons "Kiss Boot" and weld it to the bottom!
