Purdy picture here of my girl getting a new Rear 😆...
Guys, take it easy on the road after a new tire. I completely forgot and fishtailed within 30 seconds of leaving the shop. Luckily, I was able to control the beast before she went down.
Whew !! not a good feeling when she comes out from under you. 😎.

Ok, makes sense now. I didn't think the tread on the tire on that first pic was very deep for new rubber, but then it seems I replace my bikes more often than tires these days anyway . I be interested to hear how you like this one as time goes by, since I plan on keeping this Stryker, so I'll actually need a tire at some point

I do have a few questions about what you have on the bike, as i'm trying to find similar items. The rear light assembly, did you remove the rear turn signals and trim off the plate portion? And if so, did you relocate the turn signals elsewhere or just leave em off. I see the plate was relocated to the axle nut, do you know what mount that is? Trying to do more or less the same, but stalled out because I can't find a plate holder that actually fits. Nothing says 'works for yamaha' or similar.

Hey guy . The license plate is not attached to the axel . It's actually attached behind it to the framework. There are many plates similar to the one that's on my bike. Amazon is your best buy. They aren't expensive either. 30 bucks to 50 maybe. Ebay sells them too. Also make sure that your state allows for a vertical plate. Florida makes it legal but it wasn't always that way . As far as the turn signals I can't say for sure because the PO did that mod before I got it. The turn signals are integrated into the brake light.
The pictures I'm showing here are where the plate is mounted. Just behind the passenger foot pegs there's a small piece of metal. The plate is bolted onto it . Also for 5 bucks on Amazon you can buy the small LED license plate lights to wire onto the plate . There are holes already set up and the LEDS just screw in . Hope this helps. Lemme know how things go.

I think I found the exact same plate holder. It's like 27 bucks on Amazon. Sunpie is the name of the company who makes it . Take a look at the picture of my bike plate and then look at the ones on Amazon that match .
Order it . 👍

Thanks for the plate placement pics. Tbh, it never occured to me to mount it elsewhere other than the axle nut :) . There are several plate mounts on amazon I'd been looking at (this one as well), but didn't get any due to reviewers saying it doesn't last long - broke on the first ride, etc. That sorta thing. So, I just kept ocd'ing over all the reviews and more or less got writer's block on getting one. Kinda hung up on the turn signal thing right now (bike has 2" tube covers).
As of this writing, I've ordered led wraparound turn signals (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NBF0M8X?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details). Since this is a salvage bike, hoping the inspection place will allow these (they aren't DoT certified) so I can get it plated. Need to hurry as well, spring's a 'comin and I got that itch. I'll be leaving the stock rear end stuff on the bike til after its been plated before I start my customizing (now to shop for led kits..... lol).
