I'm looking for a GoPro style camera it doesn't have to be a GoPro but I do want 1080 HD recording. Any ideas? Do any of the camera's have a remote or optional remote to start/stop the recording?

I think the Contour is better camera, but GoPro is better at marketing. You can stream to your iphone to see what the camera sees, no need to purchased a seperate LCD screen. It also has a projected laser aiming system so you can verify the camera is level when you are mounting it to an object.

I have the new GoPro Black. It has the ability to stream to your iPhone so you can see where it is aimed. and it does come with a remote. I haven't used it on the bike yet but I did use it on my snowmobile in the mountains this winter. Used the chest harness mounting option and it gave a really cool rider's perspective

I'll have to take a look at this as well. Would of liked to had one during my Arkansas trip, oh well.

My wife got me the JVC XX adventure cam, haven't tried it yet but I know you can stream live video thru the iPhone with Ustream software, plan to try it out before my next trip
