Anybody knows of a mechanic in Pittsburgh, PA or close by ? I want to make a couple of mods and don't want to take it to the dealer. Anybody has any suggestions ? I'd appreciate it...

What are you looking to get done? Im not very mechanical but did my exhaust, intake, and power pro myself. I'm near Irwin if I can help. I haven't needed an actual mechanic as of yet so have no recommendations.

thanks kilo what I wanted to do was to lower the bike, but I bit the bullet and did it myself, it took me a little longer than average but I did it myself. I bought a motorcycle jack and learned how to do it from the forum. so I learned something new. I don't think I'll be doing any more mods except for changing the seat to a more comfortable one and maybe adding an old school sissy bar. If I ever decide on doing the fuel tuner then I'll need a mechanic but for now I'm good...

The best way to know everything about your bike is to spin some wrenches. ;) Don't get nervous about doing it yourself, if you questions, just ask in here. There is a ton of knowledge in this forum.

I haven't made it to that one because Thursday nights are my K9 training nights. Guys I work with have gone a few times. If I am able to make one we usually go to the West Mifflin Lube one on Wednesday nights.

Have you ever heard anything about the bike nights at Long Branch Saloon in New Brighton on Wed nights or one on Tuesday Night at Pittsburgh Burger co at the waterfront? I dont know anything about either one but always up for checking some out.

No one will do better work on your bike than you. I am a mechanic. I trust myself the most, not because I am a mechanic...but because it's my bike and I give a ****. Not saying there are no mechanics anywhere that don't care. I am an aircraft mechanic and am ethically and legally bound to perform work to a particular standard, but it would pale to the level of TLC I would give to my own plane.
