Loud pipes at work

I was in the grocery store parking lot waiting for a light to access the public road. While waiting I stop so as not to block the isle. Sure enough a soccer mom in her big SUV talking on her cell phone tried to turn into the lane. I saw her and anticipated this it what she would do so I pulled in the clutch and let the V&H howl. She heard me and put on the brakes to wait. I love these pipes.

Loud pipes do help. So far all I got is 9-1/2 holes in each baffle. But when my wife honked her horn on her V Star at a cow in the road the cow just looked up like WTF is that. Then I revved mine a couple times and that got it's attention and it moved out of the way.

How do you fit 9 1/2" holes in each pipe? Can't be much tin left. :) Can you take a picture of your exhaust. I did 4 on the Raider before just cutting the pipes short and removing the baffles.
Ya I put the 9th hole right in the center of the baffle with a 15" long 1/2 inch drill bit. I will go out and get you a pic in a bit.
Since we are telling loud pipe stories here let me tell the story I have told once before somewhere on here.
Let me start by pointing out the sign on the tree in my profile picture. YES IT SAYS," BEAR COUNTRY".

Last year I was on my old Virago up on the road leading to my favorite spot, yes where that sign is. It's 6 miles or more from my house by narrow winding mountain road with over growth making it barely wide enough for a car and a 10 percent grade. To give you an idea it's 1,200 feet higher in elevation than my house is. And from my back yard in a straight line it's just over a mile. Any way coming around a corner something big and black caught my eye first though was COW, better slow down. Looked at my speed then looked up as I hit the breaks. What, not cow BEAR. It turned sideways taking up the hole road and looked at me . I was at 5 mph 20 feet from him/her with no where to go. The old Virago has shot gun pipes louder than some HDs . Pulled the clutch in and let it roar. the Bear Took 2 steps to the side and I saw enough room to get by his rear end and popped the clutch screeched the tire and hauled ass. Thought , Hey I got a cell phone get a picture. WTF dumb ass idea, and kept going. Took 2 hrs for my nerves to calm down. Loud pipes save lives.
