So I was just about ready to get the Low and Mean front fender when I saw some posts about them being warped or not fitting correctly. So I am asking for some help on deciding. In particular.
1). People that have bought the fender are you happy with it?
2). Is the having Low and Mean paint the fender worth the extra money (I have the Raven)?
3). Are there any other companies that make a fender (preferably steel) for the Stryker?
I value all the help and opinions I have gotten from forum members in the past. I have a love hate relationship with Low and Mean. I love some of their products and have seen quality issues with others.

I bought mine during the group buy and saved some money.

Mine had rub marks on both sides of the fender in the back using the pre-drilled holes.

I was not happy.

I'm currently in the process of fixing this, but I have pretty much decided I have to drill the holes out slighty to get it property aligned. I am also slightly concerned about the strength of both the front and rear fender. I asked about the rear and a passenger but haven't hears much. The front definitely has some flex.

I've got the front fender.....had a really hard time getting it to fit
http://www.yamahastarstryker.com/index.php/topic,1518.0.html

Eventually I did get it to fit without rubbing (I think) At least I felt comfortable with it.....
I haven't taken it off again yet, to check for rubbing, but I think it is still rubbing while turning (whenever I smell rubber while on the road, I always think it's me).....I'm pretty sure I'll be in for another difficult experience after I take it off to paint it and re-install. I might take it off again today.......maybe....

Mine is definitely skewed in some way. When I get around to taking it off I was gong to check what SFCMcGan suggested. I'm thinking my holes might be off a little.

I may cut the bottom at one of the cut lines too, still not sure.

I did get quick responses from LM when I sent emails, but I haven't gotten back to them about what I had to do to get it installed.

I like the look of it......

Got mine during the group buy also. I was pleased with the quality and the price. The only complaint I had with the fender is that the pointed ends on the back were too close to the ground for my taste. It was easily fixed by cutting off a small portion at a line that was pre marked. This also made the bottom of the fender line up with the angle on the chin scoop like the black L&M bike. For what its worth I think the L&M fenders and scoop look awesome on my bike. Was it worth it to me, yes.

I dont see a passenger being an issue unless they are grabbing and yanking on the sides of the rear fender due to it not being attached there. Where they sit will be resting firmly on the frame anyways. Might pm Schimbo and see how his has worked out.

In my experience the rear fender is pretty sturdy. I came up with my own means of attaching mine so I could go with a solo seat and not have any ugly fender holes to cover up, but I can still grab the fender by the bottom sides above the axle and shake the entire bike with it.

To make the Full Wrap fender fit correctly you must use the Brake cable bracket. This spaces the fender correctly. If any one ever has issues with the fender please contact us and we would be glad to help you. Remember all of our products come with a Lifetime warranty.
Thanks for your support!

Does anyone have any pics a cut up version of these fenders? I'm interested in getting one but I want to cut mine.
Can you cut either of these fenders since they are not metal?
Yes you can cut them easily. The front fender comes with a few lines pre marked that you can cut along to get the look of either the black or red L&M bike. I placed a thick tape alongside the line I wanted to cut (my hands shake lol) and used a dremel tool.

Thanks for the help everyone,

I think I am going to take the plunge. I really like the style of the fender and the lines that compliment the bike. I just hope the Low and Mean paint job is as good as it says in the description becaue I am gonna shel out the extra $$$ for it.
