I was looking at paint options. Has anyone got the $100 gloss black paint on a fender from low and mean. I cannot afford the price to match my raven. Just need to decide to get the gloss black or just get it without paint and go another route. Any input would be great.

I haven't even got around to painting mine yet (almost a year now) or the chin scoop, but I think looks ok without. I did buy some type of cleaner/black shine stuff to apply once in awhile
Obviously matching paint is the way to go, but decided to hold off in case I decide to paint everything.

This is going to sound gay but, if you're going to paint it black I think it would better if it matched the existing glitter. Plus there are like 100 shades of black with different tones. In the sun light the difference will stick out. I painted my headlight bucket gloss black with three coats of clear. In the sunlight the headlight bucket actually has a warmer tone than the Raven paint. Just stuff to chew on.

JOKER - Is that the way the fender comes when you order it from L&M?

Just a heads up not a good idea to use any silicone products on parts that you eventually want to paint. You or the shop you take them too will have a **** of time with fish eyes and paint lifting.

Yep. They put a gel coat on it when they send it out. This is how mine looked the day I put it on. Been riding with it like that since. do be advised that you can have some areas where the gel coat may wear off while in shipping. I have a few spots but nothing that stands out.

So thats how it looks like when they ship it? Is that with color match? I guess i'm confused how they're supposed to look like when you order them. If they look like your pictures and that's without the color match, that doesn't look bad at all.

I agree and wouldn't order it any other way, and also to mention, like most of us this is my baby, so i waited a bit longer and put the extra money into getting the paint jobs done right on my aftermarket pieces. Looks amazing, im glad i waited. Heck u may even find a auto painter local to do the job a bit cheaper.

Has anyone ever ordered the L&M Front Fender from Elite Motorsports? The reason I ask is because there are a few options but i'm not sure which one I should get? Factory Match Painted or Standard Semi-Gloss Black

I paid for L&M to paint my fender and chin scoop, and the color is not a perfect match. It's close. Different light conditions shows the difference more than others. Sometimes, it's barely noticeable. They charge a lot to paint, so it's something to consider that it may not be perfect depending on your bike color.
