So I pulled off my fender to trim the front lip so I could put some chrome molding on and found that the sidewall of the tire was rubbing on the inner fender. You all may want to check yours, there was no real visible wear on the tire to recognize the problem.

I've seen it vibrate at 55mph let alone 125. I'm not surprised it's wearing against the tire. That's fiberglass for you.
This is just from riding around town at 35-40mph. I love the look but if I can't figure out something to make it a little more ridged it's coming off and going in the dumpster.

You can't make it more rigid. The fiberglass is already high quality, it's just the nature of the material. Don't toss it. I bet if you could easily sell it here quick.

I put my L&M front fender on last week. It has a slight warp in her. I had to drill the mounting holes out slightly and add additional washers to one side. So far with modifying it I havnt been rubbing. I havnt cut the bottom yet.

I searched and found on several sites metal fender blanks. The blanks can be cut how you want. The cost varied but comparable to the L&M. There should be some threads about metal fenders.
Thanks for the information! I have tried looking but I have never come across a site that has the metal ones. I'll keep looking and if I find one I'll post it in here for everyone to see. Thanks again!

Don't be too harsh on L&M. I made a steel fender for mine and although it didn't rub at high speeds that I could tell, it would rub a little at low speed. I think the issue is more that when you take a fender that wraps that far around the tire and mount it that close to the tire when the forks flex the fender rubs? Making a nice fork brace (11Stryker) to stiffen it would work better. I had mine slammed down low on the tire and could hear every piece of gravel scrape through the fender with metal. Give yourself a little clearance when mounting.
