I just got my Low and Mean Octagon gas cap accent. The magnets seem really week and it rattles around even after the gas cap is put back on. I was going to use some silicone under but not sure it will stick. Anyone have any sugestions?

Some members have used silicon, some double sided tape, I added magnets and felt to keep from scratching, I wanted to be able to remove it if something better came along

To the original poster: If you can replace the original magnets with rare earth ones(and the felt mentioned above is a great idea) you should be fine. Even the 1/4" ones are very strong.

Sad that you have to go to these lengths to make it stick properly, after shelling out to L & M.
