So any of you who went into the group buy and bought the seat pan, how does it look. I see that they still don't have it on their web site, but I know it was offered in the group buy. I see they offer it at the Elite Motosports site, but this one they already padded and covered.
Wish they supplied a photo.

I have yet to have mine covered. When it came in I was a little dissapointed. Its is fiberglass. I was expecting it and the front feneder to be made out of metal. Oh well, you play the hand your delt.

I'm with Christopher as far as being disappointed. I was expecting something a lot sturdier.

A question for those with the seat pans. Does it lean all the way back to the fender? Mine looks like it is going to need some Velcro or something to hold the back down against the fender.

Also for anyone that has finished it like Bang, did you cut the pan off at the optional cut line on the back? The back looks like it's going to sit a little higher than the fender if I don't cut it down.

Question for the Low and Mean seat pan owners. I know that the pan does not come with the Yamaha latch up front, but are the holes marked or pre-drilled, so you know where to attach the latch? Also any buyers remorse? Really thinking hard on buying one, because I can't find a seat I want out there that won't bring my seating position forward.

Check out the work this guy does... awesome! I'll bet he can create exactly what you want... his prices are reasonable too.

I'm about to order one as well, hopefully I can give some input soon.

the pan is ok...it won't move you forward you might well be better off with something else...it will seat you lower and back...I think the seat pan needs some trimming and that's what I did as it wasn't even on both sides...and yes the holes are drilled no worries..personally I would just order a latch from yamaha and leave the other in tack...as once you put the bracket on the pan you can not remove it like a stocker.

Hope that helps.

It looks to me like the frame under the seat sits farther out to the left side than the right and the stock seat is off a bit as well to accommodate it. Was the L&M pan that way on purpose, or just outright mishapen?

Your right it was built this way to cover the frame. The left side of the frame sticks out further do to the belt drive system. You'll also notice that the passenger foot pegs are further out too.

I can back SR71 up on this one. I noticed the frame differences between left and right when I mounted passenger floorboards. Mount Kit came with spacers for right side floorboard mounts to counteract the frame offset.

yes it is the frame, but I split the difference and cut down one side of the pan, seat matches up better that way imho.

Seats are very subjective to personal taste..so its always tough to talk about...personally I enjoy making them as it lets me adjust it to my personal shape..kind of like a fingerprint they are all different..ha.

Hey guys please understand this seat pan from us is not a production part as of yet. We are sorting out the details so the fit is perfect. We did explain this to those that purchase this product and if this was not explained to you then we apologize. So, can the seat pan work? Absolutely! Your using the same setup we have on the three custom bikes we built. The seat pan is more than strong enough and the fit is 90% there. I'm sorry some of you are having difficulty, please feel free to contact us anytime or post questions here for us to help you achieve your desired goal with the Stryker seat.
Thank you all for your support, we are here to help you if you want.
