I hope this falls in the right area. I have been searching the forum and google to see if I can find a picture with no success. I am looking at purchasing the low and mean chrome spike intake. I have a reddish copper stryker and am concerned the black intake would clash too much with the chrome on the bike. Or that the chrome intake with a black adapter would look weird. Are there any pictures of this? The gallery had a reddish copper with an all black intake but not the spike, I liked the look so I may go the all black route.. thoughts?

Honestly, I hate chrome. It's just not my style. It's more of a personal choice though, but the stryker looks great blacked out.

I have the cobra swept exhaust in chrome. The black look on the reddish copper didn't work for me. but I think an all black intake would give it a nice balance the more I contemplate it.

I've got the reddish copper and I think chrome is the way to go on that bike. If I had a black Stryker, I could see it going either way.

I put chrome rims on my bike (had the black ones originally) and it really cleaned up the look. I am going to have the triple trees, lower fork tubes, and all of the cables in chrome by Spring.

That is what I originally thought which is why I wanted the chrome spike, but the adapter only comes in black or silver...They have a picture on their site of the fury with the silver adapter, it looks alright.

I had the black intake with a chrome spike. The adaptor just kinda blends in when its black. As far as the spike goes, you can get them cheaper from Demon Cycles.
Straightjacket - That is the perfect picture to demonstrate how it blends in. In my mind, I didn't picture it looking that good. Thanks. Would this Demon Cycles intake work with their adaptor and still clear everything? If so, I know what I am getting.

Thanks for the picture. It does blend in but I think since my tank is lighter it will stick out more. You have the black tank so it blends well with the bike. Thanks for the heads up on Demon Cycles.

Hey Quazy50. I believe there is one other company, but I can't remember who it is. I sent you a message back about your question. With the copper bike I would go with a chrome air intake. What I think would be really look sweet is the round style intake with a chrome cover that shows the reddish filter on the sides. Both colours would blend in great and you'd get fantastic performance and no adapter is needed. Save $200

See the link.

The L&M adaptor seems to have the best flow, but I don't have any flow charts to back that up. Most others are just a flat plate, think Kury makes one also? Any HD three hole air filter will fit on the adaptor. It will stick out the side a little more but clear fine.

Well I think I am going to go with the All Black intake... I think it'll look a little different then what most people would do, so I like the unique aspect. I also think the black will balance out the darker engine, black frame, and chrome exhaust and other chrome parts.
