I'm pretty sure it was the oil level that caused this, but I'm curious if others have had the same experience. Saturday I had my 600 mile service done. I had it done at 550 miles. After the service I rode with my dad all day. After leaving the dealership and the mileage hitting 585 the oil level light came on for 1-2 minutes. I decided to pull over and check the level. The level was just barely above the bottom line on the inspection window. I ended up topping it off to get the level up to the top fill line, but I'm irritated that that I paid 185 bucks for a service that I still had to add almost a whole quart of oil to afterwards.

This has been talked about quite a bit. The oil level sensor is pretty sensitive on our bikes so you'll want to fill almost to the top of the sight window. I would definitely call and b!tch them out...the 600 mile "service" is just a glorified oil change and they couldn't even do that correctly. You know what they say...if you want something done right do it yourself.

+1 My dealer wanted $300, so I did mine myself. :)

Wow that's expensive . And not even done right . My dealer only charged $90 for the first service and $106 for the next one and I had him put my grips on ,since I got them in the mail the day of service

my dealer only charged me 56 for my 600 mile service, included adjusting my belt, oil change with yamalube, and checked the bike over.

I need a new dealer!!!
Honestly I like my dealer but they are at $75/hr so it's impossible to get anywhere near that price unless it was done in the initial deal signing...
They get the hard stuff(none so far) and warranty stuff(none so far) and I get the rest(1 oil change and my mods...)

Right with you there Billy - my dealer is the same way... and it's even questionable bout the hard stuff- don't know if I trust em / like em enough!
