My new links are en-route, hopefully for this weekend to install. I think I’ve read all I can on our forum about them but I still have a question for all you users. When one says they lowered their ride by 1”, 2”, 1.5”, 1.75” what was your reverence point. Meaning, where did you measure from when stock? Or was it just a “seat of the arse” feel? I currently have the stock 210 but next week my Michelin 240 will be in (thanks Toby). With the added height of the 240 I’m looking at a 1” or 1.5” drop. I do not want any rubbing issues and I ride solo 95% of the time. My 31” inseam is a non issue for flat footing it no matter where it is set. I just want a little lower feel and the lowered look of the Stryker. A special thanks to MIKE for his great photo install write up last year so I feel confident doing this mod. I’m looking forward to the next week. J

I have Barons so the settings were determined for me but I believe the "drop" measurement is from the rear fender to the ground. If I remember correctly I also think the Soupys come set to a XX drop already.
Since you might be changing the tire and the links at the same time its a little more complicated(setting the drop relative to X) but the job is easier with the wheel removed. I'd measure the current distance between the stock tire and rear fender and use that as my reference point. The 240 tire is a little taller(maybe 1/2") so factor that in.

I measured from the center of the rear fender strut bolt to the top edge of the swing arm before and after installing the Soupy links. That should give you a pretty accurate measurement for how much the sub frame drops. I had a **** of a time getting the stock links off

I did mine when I was changing to the 240. it was easy without the tire in the way and the swingarm suspended.
